In notes 7 the keyboard shortcut CTRL+TAB could be used to cycle open tabs in the notes client.
In notes 8.5.1 this basic functionality is broken.
The ctrl+tab functionality is essential and very basic, when an application features a tabbed interface. Firefox made tabbed interface popular many years ago, and numerous other apps, including Notes, has copied this great feature ever since. Most, if not all other applications with tabbed interface across both windows and linux platforms has a shortcut to cycle tabs, making it a natural habit for users, and a timewaster whenever a user tries to do the same thing in notes, only to discover it doesn't work.
The most common, and also the preferred shortcut is CTRL+TAB, but sometimes CTRL+PageUp/PageDown will do the trick.
In notes 8.5.1 an alternative is to use CTRL+F8, which brings up a menu of open tabs, then use the down arrow to select a tab, and press enter to switch to it. This is a useless implementation; two-hand or lift-arm shortcuts are annoying for common tasks, and the 3-step procedure is simply stupid.
Please bring back the CTRL+TAB shortcut.
